Goals and Accountability

Hi. It’s me. It’s been a while. How have you been?

Back in January, I wrote a blog post that stated some of my goals for the year. In that piece, I said that I would write 25 blog posts in 2019.

I have written one. This is the second.

It’s not from a lack of things to write about or things to say. Those who know me will attest that I rarely lack an opinion or a story. Writing just wasn’t a priority, even as I stared at the goals written on my desk every damn day.

I could make a lot of great excuses and tell you what I have been busy with. None of those excuses would change the fact that I simply have fallen short to date on this goal.

Today, that changes. It’s all about accountability and integrity. It’s about owning the fact that I have fallen short to date and figuring out how to move forward. We all have the ability to change our minds and change our goals. However, I am challenging myself to get as close to 25 as I can.

And while there’s no prize or punishment for hitting or falling short of my goals, it’s the sense of accomplishment that I am after.

There are roughly 16 weeks left in the year so there’s plenty of time. If you have a topic you would like me to cover, send me a note. More importantly, if you have a goal from earlier this year that has gone by the wayside and you need some help getting back on track, let me know. I am sure we can help each other.

See you soon!
